- As a family dentistry practice, we become familiar with your entire family’s comfort level, medical history, and dental issues for complete, tailored care that ensures any issues are caught and treated early and minimally invasive.
- Family dentistry offers several advantages to our patients, including:
Experience
Dr. Davidson is experienced in every aspect of dental care for individuals of all ages. He continually pursues advanced education regarding the latest dental procedures to treat all dental health problems and provide the latest advancements in preventive, cosmetic, and surgical care.
Lifetime Care
As you age, your oral health concerns evolve. We offer preventive care for children and young adults, cosmetic dentistry for adults who want to enhance their appearance, and comprehensive senior dental restoration for those suffering from age-related tooth loss.
Familiarity
Our patients trust Edgemont Dental Arts to provide exceptional dental care. They know from experience that we always focus on each patient’s best interests. We get to know every patient from childhood to old age. We become familiar with their desires, concerns, and preferences to offer customized care throughout each patient’s lifetime.

Children’s Dentistry
Children who come to our office quickly learn there is nothing to fear and become adult patients who continue to see us, keeping their teeth and gums healthy throughout their lives.
We encourage parents to bring their children to our office by age one to familiarize them with our office and reduce their anxiety so we can effectively provide preventive treatment and monitor their dental health. We educate all children on proper oral hygiene and offer preventative treatments to protect against cavities.
Adult Dentistry
Dental patients in the prime of their careers are often concerned about how their teeth look, knowing that first impressions and a professional appearance are essential to getting ahead. We offer several options to these patients, including implants, teeth whitening, veneers, dental bonding, and periodontal maintenance.
The retirement years can lead to a new set of issues for dental patients. Periodontal disease, the effects of medications, and lifestyle can all have a dramatic impact on your teeth as you age. Our goal is to preserve our patients’ teeth as long as possible. When this is not possible, we offer alternatives such as dental implants and dentures to restore function and allow our retirement-age patients to continue to enjoy life.

Senior Dentistry
Seniors often develop specific dental problems, including a higher risk of tooth decay, periodontal disease, and tooth loss. In addition, gum disease can affect heart health and aggravate diabetes, leading to a cascade of serious health problems. Seeing a family dentist is crucial to protecting the health of senior and geriatric patients.
Special Needs Dentistry
Individuals with dementia, cognitive disabilities, and physical, emotional, or psychiatric issues tend to have more significant dental needs. Dr. Davidson and his dental care team are experienced in working with special needs patients and their caregivers.
We put patients at ease and protect their health and well-being during all dental treatments. We encourage caregivers to contact us to discuss the specific needs of their loved ones and patients prior to the first appointment so we can prepare appropriately for their visit and make it as pleasant as possible.

Sedation Options For All Levels Of Dental Anxiety
Our patients love coming to see us, and for good reason. If you fear the dentist, we offer a variety of sedation options for every level of dental anxiety or fear. We evaluate each patient, ask questions, and determine the best level of sedation for each procedure. This can be especially helpful for special needs patients, young children, and those with dementia.
- Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is administered to those with mild fear to induce a feeling of calm and relaxation.
- Oral sedation is often appropriate for those with moderate anxiety. Patients are groggy and may fall into a light asleep but are not fully unconscious.
- IV sedation is available for patients with severe dental phobia or who may not understand what is going on during a dental procedure. IV sedation is sometimes called “twilight sedation” and is often chosen for lengthy or more invasive procedures.
Edgemont Dental Arts is your family’s total dental care destination. If you need routine care for you and your child, replace missing teeth, cosmetic work to create an unforgettable smile, or you are concerned about your grandparents’ oral health, Dr. Davidson and his team provide outstanding care in familiar, comforting surroundings.
